ISP Platform working silicon in “Fall Sensor” Demonstrator
The Australian Semiconductor Technology Company (ASTC), in conjunction with the University Of Adelaide, built a “Fall Sensor”, as a demonstrator of the IQonIC Works Intelligent Sensor Platform (ISP) and RV32EC_P2 RISC-V CPU core.
The “Fall Sensor” is designed to be worn by a person, and detect via accelerometry if they start to fall.
All that was required was to add a sensor component and bluetooth transceiver – the ISP has all the building blocks for sensor stream digitisation, processing and transmission.
In the demonstrator, the resulting data feed is sent over bluetooth to a host PC analysis and detection algorithm tuning.
Adelaide University is continuing to use the demonstrator to for future projects.
